Lanarkshire Public Protection Unit

The co-located office was agreed by the Chief Officers’ Groups in North and South Lanarkshire in December 2006. The co-located office became operational on 14th May 2007. The Lanarkshire Partnership Public Protection Unit consists of Adult and Child Protection Committees, The Lanarkshire Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA), NHS Nurse Consultant for Adult and Child Protection, Police Scotland, Violence Against Women Group (North) /Gender-Based Violence (South) and administrative support.

 

The above agencies individually and collectively work together to reduce harm, or the risk of harm to vulnerable children and young people and adults at risk in Lanarkshire.
